Release Works is Salt Lake City's trademarked myofascial movement practice, located on Highland Drive between Sugarhouse and Holladay. We serve clients from Salt Lake County and the surrounding Utah communities, with chronic pain, mobility issues, and post-surgical restrictions that have not resolved through conventional care.

There is ample parking behind our building. Look for the entrance driveway between the twin office buildings just south of the IHOP on Highland Drive. Park on the north side of the lot; that is the building you want. We occasionally have clients looking in the wrong building, so confirm you are headed to the one closest to the IHOP before you park.
Release Works serves clients throughout Salt Lake County and the surrounding Utah communities. Many of our regulars drive in from outside the immediate area because the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach® combined with Michael's 20 years of protocol development is not widely available in Utah. Clients seeking relief from back pain, shoulder pain, and other chronic conditions travel from across the state. Common service areas include:
We do not take walk-ins. Every client starts with either a free 15-minute phone consultation or a free 30-minute in-person discovery visit. Those conversations are where we understand your situation, talk through the method, and determine whether Release Works is the right fit. No pressure, no obligation.
If you have already booked a discovery visit or a protocol, plan to arrive a few minutes early, wear clothing you can move in, and bring any recent imaging or notes you want Michael to see. Sessions happen in a private treatment room on the north side of the building.
The full method, how we assess posture, how a protocol progresses, and what results look like, is covered in detail on the Method page. The simplest way to start is a free phone call.
A 15-minute phone call or a 30-minute in-person discovery visit. No pressure, no obligation, just clarity on whether the Release Works Method is the right next step for your situation.
Release Works does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. The Release Works Method of Healing™ is a movement restoration practice. Consult your physician for medical advice.
Three doors. One Method. Whichever you choose, you'll be working with the same hands and the same standard of care.
